Legislative Action

While in Tallahassee, Eddie, Sharyn and I had the opportunity to meet a former principal from South Florida who is running for the House. If you would be willing to ask your staff members to sign her petition for office, she would greatly appreciate it. She needs around 600 signatures to avoid paying 10,000 to have her name on the ballot. It can be anyone who is a registered voter in the state of Florida.

We believe it would be wonderful to have a former administrator in the House!

OCASA Lifesaver Award

On behalf of the Orange County Association of School Administrators (OCASA) congratulations go out to the following district level managers for receiving a nomination for the OCASA Lifesaver Award. Four winners of the award were chosen based upon the responses and received a Lifesaver Ring, but all nominees were recognized for the assistance that they provide to school administrators day in and day out through a certificate of appreciation. OCASA appreciates the efforts of all those we work with on a daily basis and felt the time had come, to recognize those who go above and beyond to keep us afloat.
